Wood working with local trees

The wood logs came from local disposed trees. A chainsaw is use to cut to size. It is a noisy, dusty and physical demanding job.

Understanding the tools allow work to be done properly. It takes practice to master the different tools.

Carving is a reduction process that require planning and patience. It involved power tools and hand tools to work together. It is meditative seeing the wood chipped away to reveal the form.

Documenting for this exhibition allows me to look back at how I work and processes.
