Teo Huey Ling's work includes drawings, contemporary sculptures, and art installations. Motivated by materials that involved intricate processes such as ceramics, wood carving and felt making. The outcome, is to achieve an aesthetic-driven form, which is a partnership between the self and the material, bonded through sensuous understanding and spontaneous responses.
Strange Tools at Punggol Regional Library
Ling continues in her motivation in materials that involve intricate processes. The new work will make up of smaller sculptures from wood, felt etc as an assemblage to become an installation. It shall challenge on a larger scale, made specifically for the specs of the technology, and presented as a whole. She is interested in expanding her understanding to program servos and neo-pixel LEDs with Arduino. These are an extension of knowledge from the previous mentoring from MakeIT.
